s9marti7 Posted May 19, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 19, 2004 I will be going on a 4 day Majesty cruise for May 28-31 and would like some suggestions for things to do in Nassau? I cruised last year on Soverign and in Nassau we took one of the 2 hour van tours and saw the Hotel with the aquarium. I want to do something different this time, so what are you suggestions. I prefer something not RCCL affiliated. (No shore excursions). Thanks!
Tmmull Posted May 20, 2004 #2 Share Posted May 20, 2004 If you get into port early enough you could try Stuart Cove's. We had a blast! Tluvs2talk Posted May 20, 2004 #3 Share Posted May 20, 2004 The carriage ride is a lot of fun. I also enjoyed spending the day at Atlantis. Teri
teapot44 Posted May 20, 2004 #4 Share Posted May 20, 2004 Last April, we booked a snorkling with stingrays tour. If you like interacting with sealife, you'll love this. They're so gentile and human-oriented that you can even hand-feed them. Just a thought.
CAPinBoynton Posted May 20, 2004 #5 Share Posted May 20, 2004 s9marti7, Although you said that you prefer a non-RCCL excursion, we were there in November and did the Dolphin Encounter. It was really fabulous, and I would highly recommend it. You can see pictures of it on our website under Easter Caribbean at the link below my signature. If you go downtown, there is always the strawmarket. Personally, I found it to be suffocatingly crowded; but to each their own. dbarry Posted May 20, 2004 #7 Share Posted May 20, 2004 While my husband and I were in Nassau this past February my favorite thing was the "Champagne Harbor Lights tour" offered by RCCL. It really was the perfect way to end our stay in this port. I have been here so many times and I think I've done it all - from snorkeling to a tour of Atlantis. This tour of Nassau harbor was just so unique. The harbor looks so different by night.
