corseford Posted December 9, 2009 #1 Share Posted December 9, 2009 Statement from P&O web site "Smoking will no longer be permitted inside any areas of the ship including passenger staterooms. Smoking will still, however, be allowed on stateroom balconies and on certain areas of the open deck" Does anybody who has recently been on Ventura know what "certain areas of the open deck" means? MattyBarlow Posted December 9, 2009 #2 Share Posted December 9, 2009 Top deck and Starboard side of prom deck. I have to say while walking round the prom on deck 7, coming to the starboard side was disgusting (for a non smoker). The smell and smoke stays under the lifeboats and tenders and its like walking into a smokey bar.
jeanlyon Posted December 9, 2009 #3 Share Posted December 9, 2009 Agree, but at least it's outside. They have to smoke somewhere. Lots of complaints about balconies though. Folk on a next-door balcony get the smoke drifting or blowing onto their balcony and even into their cabins. Fairly obvious.
