  1. There are 2 people on FB who just fill up the pages like P&O Aurora This is the Life. Can't find anything interesting because it's all taken up with blogs. No interest in reading them.
  2. That's my complaint about all P&O food. Roast and spuds seems to be all they can do. Just cruised with Fred Olsen and didn't see a roast for the first week. Many different dishes. Really so much better.
  3. It's not just ships. These infections are everywhere. Schools, hospitals, anywhere that people gather.
  4. I think there is a shuttle from Brevik terminal in Tromso, but WhatsinPort says this is £19.95. Anybody know if P&O lay on a shuttle here?
  5. Yes but if it's used up, do you get your discount on Duty free booze? I think no.
  6. Another question. When we bought our Duty free booze on Fred 2 x litre of gin and 2 x litre of whisky This not only came off our OBC but we got 5% Silver discount as well. Does P&O give discount off duty free, ie 10% Caribbean discount|?
  7. We always P4C if we don't have CPS free parking. I find them very good and usually much cheaper.
  8. Never been to Norway and now booked on Aurora next March. Will we need boots in late March? I don't possess walking boots.
  9. I must say, I have never needed any. There are hooks on the wall for a jacket, otherwise the wardrobe.
  10. Booked on board last October, booking was put through to TA where I got more discount. I got £500 OBC and free parking, so a good deal for an inside cabin. Some you win, some you lose.
  11. We have never had a magazine or calendar either.
  12. I commented on FB Messenger how good the Ents Manager was and they came back almost immediately saying they would pass it on and ensure he got recognition. So Arcadia next in October. Will see how it compares 🙂
  13. Just awful. Hear it a lot on P&O, but not on Fred. As another comment. We went to all the shows and not a single one was too loud, whereas on P&O they are absolutely deafening. Interesting!
  14. Absolutely stunning scenery at the Crater Lakes and other places. Similar in Madeira.
  15. Just back from Bolette and really did have a good time. The ship is very nice with lots of good bars. The food was definitely better than P&O, far more choice. We also ate in Colours one evening and that was very good too. We had 2 Captains party with lots of drinks and lovely canapes. The theatre company was very good and the Ents Manager was very professional and excellent. None of the "Are we all having a lovely time" stuff that you hear these days. We did 2 private excursions, one in the Azores and one in Madeira and I would definitely recommend both. No coaches for us. We had a private vehicle and super driver on both islands.
  16. Hi, we have been staying at the Elizabeth House, but they don't do dinner on Sundays. Anybody got anywhere else to the West or Southampton that they like - just for the night?
  17. The food on here has been really good and varied. I couldn't believe the boring choices on Aurora last October. Roast, roast and more roast. Certainly no rack of lamb, and definitely no fish like halibut and tiger prawns.
  18. Only smelled smoke once on stern of deck 8 outside.
  19. The best food we've had on a cruise in a long while. Halibut, prawns, rack of lamb etc
  20. We are in an inside cabin. Paid about £150 pppn for a grade one up from the basic. 13 night cruise. Yes more than we usually pay but did get 400 obc. Still on board and Azores tomorrow
  21. On board Bolette at the moment and enjoying the ship. For those interested the following are the differences I notice Evening turn down Captains drinks party with canapes Nibbles with drinks Very much better menu much more varied and many more Always Available We have OBC but still get our discount as well We have 2 more booked with P&O but this is definitely better quality.
