Where to buy Snorkelling equipment in Ft Lauderdale/Miami?

Hi All,

 

We will be in the Ft Lauderdale/Miami area pre-cruise from the 17th until the 20th December and we need to buy snorkelling equipement (masks & snorkel). Where should we go to buy these? We will have a hire car. We have heard that shops can be concentrating on Christmas stock at this time of year so wondered where we should try.

Go to a dive shop, not a drug store or department store or spoting goods store. There are dozens of dive shops in south Florida and you should be able to find one with local advice or through the Yellow Pages.

Amen! Buy a decent quality mask and snorkel. The dive shop rep will help with selection and fit.

Perhaps too late for you, but since this thread will survive beyond Christmas...

 

Best shop around and very convenient to the Port.

Great restaurants next door (Southport Raw Bar) and across the street (Quarterdeck).
