Hi,

We'll spend the whole day in PISCO (PUERTO SAN MARTIN), PERU?

Since the nearby Lima is not very safe, I wonder how about PISCO (PUERTO SAN MARTIN), PERU? Is it safe to take bus, taxi to the town and look around?

Is there any private tour company at the dock? Is it safe to book with them?

Thanks,

April

This port is far (kl and Kls from Pisco. It is a comerical port. There are no taxi, buses or anything around the dock. It is basically a service call for those coming or going to Machu Picchu. Most ship have a shuttle to Pisco. Remeber that this area suffer a major earthquake a couple of years ago. Anything that you drop economically into this region will be greatly be apprecicated. There it is an interested place, sand all shades, some rocks, a few palm trees, and fishes factories.
