sgmburt Posted December 18, 2009 #1 Share Posted December 18, 2009 I keep reading posts that people write referring to "roll call." I haven't been able to find out exactly what this means and hope someone can explain it to me. Thanks!
shootr Posted December 18, 2009 #2 Share Posted December 18, 2009 There is a section here labeled "Roll Calls" http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=34. They are based on seperate lines, then seperate ships. You find the sailing date for your cruise and say "Howdy". If there isn't one, start it up for your date. Then others will sign on as time passes and before you know it you'll have people to meet when you get on board.
Spendogirl Posted December 18, 2009 #3 Share Posted December 18, 2009 On the above left...click "boards" scroll down until you see "Roll calls".. click "holland America", then scroll down until you see "Oosterdam".. all the roll calls will come up with the different sailing dates.. Find your date and join...however I believe you must be logged in to join. :D Great way to get to know people before your cruise and most of the time, some good hearted person takes it upon themselves to set up a meet and greet for the cruise critic members... Hope this helps..
Krazy Kruizers Posted December 18, 2009 #4 Share Posted December 18, 2009 Some Roll Calls are great and actually arrange for a Meet & Greet once on the ship -- others are duds. You just can't predict what your's will be. Here is a link for your cruise: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1102707
