OOPS! Excursions on Carnival Pride--Unimog Outback--in PV

(new to this whole posting thing :o )

 

Anyone do this?? It's described as a 4-wheel truck through the Sierra Madre. Sounds pretty interesting and different....but before we spend our hard-earned vacation dollars I wanted to know if it was worth the dough...

Yes, we loved it.

 

It brings you through various villages. During stops you make walks and see how torillas are made, taste churros etc. A lot of explanation about the life there.

The truck drives through rivers (dry or with water), you walk through the forest.

The last stop is in a beautiful beach where you have a very nice barbecue.

Drinks are incl.

Th only thing is you see little of P. Vallarta town.

We also took the rainforest safari tour after my son raved about it the week before. Vallarta Adventures has a bunch of crazy fun loving guides who take you on an all day trip thru small towns, with stops at tortilla factory for snack, and restrooms. Go thru dry river beds, several ranches with cowboys and cattle running around. Short walk thru rainforest with refreshing drink afterwards. Then on the San Francisco beach BBQ where these same guides meet up with several more of their tours to serve you nice bbq lunch and an open bar. Then the crazy ride back to ship with everyone singing. Nice laid back day. You will have to have fun on this one.

You may still have some time to shop around outside the dock area, depending on how long your ship is in PV. Ours was there until 10pm, so no problem.

The DH and I did this and LOVED it. We had a great time and would do it again it we go there again.
