Post Captain Posted December 20, 2009 #2 Share Posted December 20, 2009 Does anyone know of a webcam were we can see Cape Liberty cruise port? Thanks There is no Cape Liberty webcam per se, as far as I know. (And nothing comes up in an Internet search.) However, there used to be a very interesting webcam site that included various cameras positioned near the Hudson Review and New York Harbor: http://hudsonriverlive.com/ I used to look at this quite frequently, as the cameras refreshed every minute or so and gave live great views of the harbor and harbor traffic, including (as I recall) Bayonne/Cape Liberty in the not-too-distant distance. But the site now seems defunct--a pity. In the meantime, for what it's worth, there is a Cape Liberty website that includes a number photos of the facility and ships that have docked there, as well as some useful information: http://www.cruiseliberty.com/index.htm
CruisenLexie Posted January 11, 2010 Author #3 Share Posted January 11, 2010 Thanks Post Captain. I was hoping there would be a cam in the vicinity that would pick up the port. Maybe the first one you mentioned will return one day. Thanks again.
zywnywld Posted January 12, 2010 #4 Share Posted January 12, 2010 Bayonne Web Cam !!!!!!!!! Royal Caribbean doesn't want anyone to see that place. Think of the money that was spent for the Oasis class ships at Port Everglades, I think about $70,000,000, and then take a close look at Cape Liberty when you arrive. You can't even be sure your vehicle will avoid being damaged by the pollutants sprayed into the air near uncovered parking area. But, that's your problem not RCCL. ljkool Posted September 13, 2014 #5 Share Posted September 13, 2014 (edited) Thanks to my roll call mates I pulled up the New York harbor cam Sunday afternoon just in time to watch the summit and breakaway sail by. 25 minutes of cruise ship watching fun. Can't see much of the New Jersey port itself though. Edited September 13, 2014 by ljkool
cruiserking Posted September 13, 2014 #6 Share Posted September 13, 2014 Here's a link to the brand new $55 million port RCCL has funded for their brand new Quantum of the Seas liner arriving on November 10, 2014. The new cruise ship terminal is expected to completed by November 8 and will feature parking for 900 cars. http://oxblue.com/open/FitzpatrickNJ/CapeLiberty Jonathan
