Priceline Guidance Needed SFO and Seattle

New to Priceline - need to set up accomodation (2 nights each place) pre and post cruise in San Francisco and Seattle for September. Should I bid on Priceline now or wait until nearer in - and if so how near departure should I leave it?

Do you want to stay at SFO or near the cruise port (about 20 miles away)? It can't hurt to try bidding now but usually if you are bidding for Fishermans Wharf area you will be more successful if you wait to bid around June or July.
