Fun to-dos in Bermuda for 3 year olds?

Taking a family cruise to Bermuda in May with my 3 year old triplets. Many excursions offered by the cruise line (RCCL) won't work for 3 year olds. So what, in your opinion, is the best and most fun thing I can do with the kids in Bermuda? Already planning on hitting the beach, but was hoping for some sort of activity, excursion, experience to have one of the other days we are there.

This is GREAT! Can you take a ferry from King's Wharf to this part of the island? Or how do you recommend we get there? Bus?

I'm not PhillySteve but we're buddies so I don't think he'll mind if I answer.:)

Shelly Bay is going to be a bit of a trek, especially with 3 little ones. You would have to take the ferry to Hamilton, then a bus, which will require a good walk to get to the bus terminal, then on to the beach.

Clearwater Beach is another option that also has a playground. Once again, you would have to take the ferry to St. George and then a bus but it wouldn't be as far to get the bus and then the ride to Clearwater would not be as far.

Here's a downloadable map, one of the best, of Bermuda so you can get an idea of where everything is located. Shelly Bay is 6L and Clearwater Beach is 4R.

Thanks for the map! I guess I was leaning towards Shelly Bay cause it seems near the Bermuda Aquarium and Zoo. I would have to take the same sort of trek to get to the Aquarium and Zoo I suppose?

Just wanted you to see everything in relation to where you are in case you weren't familiar with Bermuda. If you're going to the Zoo and Aquarium, Shelly Bay will definitely work to combine everything for a nice day.:)

BTW, that map is available at the Visitor Center when you get off the ship. It's about 14"x20" but folds up to 3 1/2"x5" and also contains lots of info.

  • 3 weeks later...

The #7 bus sort of gets you there since that goes to Hamilton where you will have to change busses to either a #10 or #11. Both Shelly Bay and BAMZ are on that route and relatively close together. Do consider getting either a bus pass or a book of tickets so you can get on and off the busses when ever you want.
