Countdown Clock ?

Recommended Posts

I am trying to figure it out. Help !!!!!!!!!!!

nothing to figure out. If you want the clock in your signature just click on "Countdown clock" in the top bar, follow instructions. Once you're done you will be given a code to "copy" and then "paste" into your sgnature in your profile section.

That's it.

Bringing down the clocks

5 clocks to try.

Update on 5 clocks

1. The Cruise Critic Countdown Clocks

So easy to do, and all on one page. Put in all the information you want, create your code and copy and paste.

Just go to the top of the page and click on Countdown Clocks.

2.This clock below has two links. They will link to the same form, with the same results. I use this type.

http://www.echlforums.com/clock.htm

http://*****/

With this one it will say, "Generate Clock for CruiseCritic!" Copy and paste it into your signature box..

3.New Link http://www.tickerfactory.com/ezticke...r_designer.php

Click on Vacation & Travel

When done with each step, copy the bb code and paste it into your signature box..

4. New Link http://www.ucruiser.com/ticker/

Go through the four easy steps and highlight and copy the second box down then paste it into your signature box.

This is what you will see:

PseudoHTML, UBBCode or BBCode

Use for Cruisecritic.com and similar board signatures

Used on many message boards that don't allow HTML.

5. This one is really easy to do.

All they want you to do is sign in now and they will explain why. It is still free.

New Link http://www.nauticalcities.com/tickers.php

Once you have a clock picked out and have copied the code.

To get to your signature box, go to the top of the page where it says "Cruise Critic Message Boards.

Right under that you will see USER CP on the left

Click on that. When it opens click on EDIT SIGNATURE.

Paste your clock in the second box down. Click on PREVIEW POST. If it looks right, click on SAVE SIGNATURE.

Have fun trying them.

Alexis, your way of explaining how to set up a count Down clock etc are always the best way. Explaining directions by steps is always more helpful to a person. I myself have done similiar steps regarding posying photos, using Photo Bucket or even Cafe Press.

Sdrocks, WTG you got it.

I am not the sharpest person on a computer. (in my day, the electric typewriter was a wonder :D )

When I came on here years ago, a former member taught me these things in plain language so I could understand.

I have tried to remember to do that.

You understand that too and that is good. ;)

rharvery, I like your countdown clock, the one I am using from ucruiser, offers more selections, then CC's and like the selected ship moving across the screen. I see Derricks ship has almost reached the other side.

Believe me if I do find a way for DH to recall my instructions with the computer etc, I will Post it right here. :D

If you are using FireFox as your browser, try switching over to Microsoft's Internet Explorer long enough to load your countdown timer. There is some incompatibility with how FireFox codes the HTML language that gives CruiseCritic fits. I load my countdown timers in IE and then switch back to FireFox.

I think this issue may also appear when trying to post full size pictures using FireFox and CruiseCritic but I still have to test and explore that issue further.

Thankyou all. I finally figured it out. You guys are the best.

We all take time learning on here. Now to get rid of it after your cruise, go back to your signature box and just erase it.

Then put in your next cruise clock. :D
