Never travelled with kids

1 Room! I wouldn't trust a 7 and 11 year old to be alone in a room!

2 rooms are okay with a 7-yr-old and an 11-yr-old as long as one adult rooms with each child. This is what we did on our cruise. My husband roomed with my son, and I roomed with our daughter, in cabins right next to each other. It gave us tons more room and 2 bathrooms instead of one.

My husband and I DID get one night together, though LOL. My youngest participated in the overnight challenge (where the kids 9-11 stay up doing different activities all night long in camp), so that night my husband and I stayed in our (daughter and I) room. My teenage son was doing an overnighter with the teen host too, so that was the one night we got some "privacy" ;)
