Has anyone heard of Skagway Salmon Fishing, Captain Greg?

Not a comment on the operator, just on the fishing. When we go salmon fishing from Skagway harbor, it takes more than half a day to fish a decent area. While he may get lucky, upper Lynn Canal just isn't all that good, because the Skagway and Taiya Rivers dump too much glacial silt into it and it takes 30-40 miles to settle out so the fish can thrive. The whale-watching is very poor for the same reason.

Sorry, you're out of luck there as well - just a couple of mild floats on the Taiya and Chilkat Rivers. Skagway does "land" excursions real well, but isn't much for "water" excursions except of the frozen variety :)
