Can he watch the Sunday American football games on FOS that first day we get on? I told him I have no idea if it will be open for watching games that day or for just the regular games at all for that matter.... We leave on January 3rd. If anyone also lives with a football maniac and knows the answer, I'd love to be enlightened....

The ships pick up stations out of Denver. So its possible he might be able to see the Broncos play. They don't have NFL network so you kind of get what you get. Have a great cruise. :)

On day one (embarkation day) on the Independence of the Seas, two weeks ago, they had football on at 1:00 p.m. (New Orleans vs Washington) and 4:45 p.m. (Dallas vs N Y Giants) in the Pyramid Lounge.I don't know about the Freedom, but being a sister ship, I would think so.

They had the Monday Night game on in the On Air lounge also.

They even listed it as an event in the Compass.

No MNF this week, but they do know people take the games seriously.

Slow connection so not sure how efficient streamlining would work

at ~$55 for 150 minutes (correct me if I'm wrong), we're talking more than just few bucks.

Huge football fan myself but.......if i was to be as lucky to be on a cruise ship with someone like Luckyprincess, football would be the least of my concerns. :cool:

Lucky, I'm sure you'll find it on the ship, as others have said. When we were on Liberty last year, the Bears were playing and all of us fans (no comments please!) found our way to some bar (can't remember which!) before sailaway. Even on Majesty the Schooner bar always had sports on. You can always ask them to put it on in whatever bar you're in.

I just got off Radiance last Monday. They do not get the Denver feeds in the rooms that is Carnival. I saw people watching football in the sports bar so he might see it there. The rooms do not have abc, cbs or nbc. They have TNT, ESPN International, CNN and FOX. I flipped through the channels a lot and never saw any football in the cabin.

We were on the Navigator on December 12th and we got a 1pm 4pm and the Sunday night game. I believe they were on channel 42 ESPN international.

a couple of years ago on Radiance of the seas my DH went to the sports bar to watch the college national championship game (I was in the casino) anyway, it was so crowded and smokey that he left and went back to our room only to find it being played there. He was such a happy boy. HE is really counting on the same deal on this freedom cruise Sunday. The game is on monday I think and I know I am going to have a very pouty hubby and dad if they can't watch the game.
