bumbles Posted December 29, 2009 #1 Share Posted December 29, 2009 Do the self service kiosks that Carnival uses at the POM actually save time, or is it just as quick to go to an agent? We'll have everything filled out correctly, all have passports and are using a credit card for our onboard account...just wondering what everyone's experiences with these have been. thanks! :D
Middleager Posted December 30, 2009 #2 Share Posted December 30, 2009 When did they start this self service kiosk? I haven't heard of it before. Many times I've used the airport self service kiosk, and it did not save time as the airport agents still told us to go line up like everybody else (because they did not have separate counters that would serve those using the kiosks). bumbles Posted January 5, 2010 Author #3 Share Posted January 5, 2010 I believe they started last October...Carnival only...here's the information: Carnival Embarkation Kiosks In order to enhance our guests’ check-in experience, we have six new embarkation kiosks at the Port of Miami. Guests will be able to complete their FunPass using the kiosk. U.S, Canadian and Visa Waiver Program guests will be able to self-check by swiping their passport and credit card to activate their Sail & Sign Account. Embarkation Staff will be available to assist guests using the kiosk as well as verify citizenship documentation.
