Is there a beach nearby a Water Taxi stop? And, pls recommend some shopping!

We've been Orient Beached too many times, so want to try the Water Taxi and visit the other side of the island. Where do you recommend we beach (calm, no jet skis!), that is close to a Water Taxi stop--or nearby via cab?

 

We'd also like to shop for maybe 30 minutes, nothing fancy, just to get a taste of the other wise of the island.

Easy - just take the water taxi and choose any beach that looks good to you - they're all along there. There are tons of shops (great prices) and restaurants to keep you entertained for the entire day - all with the ship within sight.

Right from the port they have water taxi's going downtown $6 over & back. As soon as you walk off the water taxi all your looking for right there beach on both sides and shops right off the beach. Perfect for both beach & shopping.:)
