When does it sink in your on your cruise.

When they hand me back my s&s card as you board- I know then I am actually going to take the cruise. And begin to look for a tray of drinks.

The excitment reaches its peak at the ding of the first check in (scanning the ss card). The relaxation hits with the first DOD.

For me its when i get my papers about 30 days out, then the first step on the gangway then im on the cruise WOO HOO 61 days to go

When I put my clothes in the closet and go to dinner first night.

Then I know that I am home.

The moment I cross the "threshold" from the terminal to the ship. I got a kick out of that "new ship smell" commerical a while back. My DH laughs at me because there's a smell that all the ships have that I immediately recognize as soon as I step onboard. That's when it hits me. Must be some kind of cleaner they use.

After almost missing my first cruise :( and actually missing my flight for my third cruise :eek:...I will now hold all the excitement until I actually board the ship!

When I start packing, load the suitcases in the car, drive to the airport, and step off the plane when we arrived at our destination. That's when it sinks in... :p

Since I'm still awaiting my first cruise, I'm just guessing that it will sink in when I'm actually on the ship and checking out the room and unpacking and stuff. It still hasn't really hit me that I'm even going yet. It hits me in little spurts here and there.
