brockmom Posted January 6, 2010 #1 Share Posted January 6, 2010 just wondering...just read a thread regarding the tough economic times.....but we booked a guarantee balcony and the funny part is that the lowest price balcony up to three or four ranks above...do not show rooms available. Does this mean they are all sold out???? Haven't sailed with HAL before so wasn't sure what that meant. The TA wasn't quiet sure what to make of it either.....any ideas??? just curious....thanks...Brockmom
Cruisin'Lady Posted January 6, 2010 #2 Share Posted January 6, 2010 when cruise time gets closer it seems that they sometimes will block out certain catagories to fill other catagories (at least from my obsevations...I could be totally off). Then open catagories or keep them closed according to how many guarantees they have. All the same...you might still have a balcony catagory you bought in the end.:D
brockmom Posted January 6, 2010 Author #3 Share Posted January 6, 2010 close as two months away...jan now and this is for March??? Your suggestion does seem logical...just was questioning the date range. thanks Brockmom
jtl513 Posted January 6, 2010 #4 Share Posted January 6, 2010 Sometimes there's other reasons for categories being closed. On our Sep 24 cruise, everything between GG and VD shows on the HAL site as Closed, yet we got a D guarantee by dealing with a TA that is holding a large block of cabins.
