cathyz Posted January 7, 2010 #4 Share Posted January 7, 2010 We're staying on Queen Mary Saturday and would like to find a place nearby to buy soft drinks to bring on Splendor. Is there anyplace around there to shop? There is nothing near the QM for shopping, you'd have to go back into Long Beach either via a car, taxi, or the free shuttle. The QM is right next to the Carnival pier and there is nothing else out there.
punkybett Posted January 7, 2010 Author #5 Share Posted January 7, 2010 Thanks, we should arrive in the early afternoon, so we'll investigate the shuttle.

Rosefloater Posted January 8, 2010 #7 Share Posted January 8, 2010 Here is a link for the long beach transit. http://www.lbtransit.com/Services/Passport.aspx You want to look at Passport C shuttle. The QM stop is opposite the front of the QM in the parking lot (at the crosswalk). If you google Long Beach & then zoom in on the map, you will see the bus stop (it is right by the tag for the Russian Submarine).
BSQ Posted January 8, 2010 #8 Share Posted January 8, 2010 The nearest places will be a 7-11 on Pine Ave at Broadway, the Wal-Mart off of Pine and 5th (going there get off at the 5th street stop rather than circling around and getting off at the stop in front of wal-mart. (wal-mart doesn't sell booze). The nearest full line grocery store is Albertson's which is located at Long Beach Blvd at 5th street. You can get off the pass port at the same place and walk to the right till you reach long beach blvd, then cross the street, or you can ride the passport till it loops around to LBB and 5th ... but it makes a lot of stops. Passport C goes by all these places.
