cathyz Posted January 7, 2010 #3 Share Posted January 7, 2010 We just had a minor earthquake here near San Francisco... 4.1, maybe 7 seconds, at 10:08... No damage, just a little excitement... I was in a meeting here at work in San Jose and we didn't even feel it so didn't know about it until someone got an IM and we all said '4.1! talk to me when it's over 5.0!'. Guess I've lived in CA too long!

BIG_Steve Posted January 7, 2010 #5 Share Posted January 7, 2010 Glad you're okay. One of the few things I don't miss about Ca. Of course here in Fl we have to contend with hurricanes.
kenish Posted January 8, 2010 #6 Share Posted January 8, 2010 Reminds me of the scene from "LA Story". Everyone eating outdoors continues their conversations during a shaker, and just push their coffee cups away from the edge of the table as they talk. :)
Cruisin' Chick Posted January 8, 2010 #7 Share Posted January 8, 2010 You can tell when an earthquake lasts over ten seconds. That's when people stand up.

Cruisin' Chick Posted January 8, 2010 #11 Share Posted January 8, 2010 Sometimes it's guess the Richter number and the epicenter.
