dress code for dinning room for late sailing

Just curious, since the latest boarding time will be at 9PM on our cruise out of San Juan, will the dinning rooms enforce the dress code as many will not have their luggage yet?

They may be a little laxer, but I doubt things like shorts, t-shirts and torn jeans will be allowed. Nearly everyone will be checked in and have their bags well before dinner time.

Almost always very casual, as some passengers have not yet received their luggage.

As you will probably hear 'enforcing the dress code' is an oxymoron - its not really happening.

 

Having said that, the first night is always the most casual for the reason you mentioned. You might even get away with shorts and flip flops if you tell them your luggage is delayed.

I've never had any problems wearing shorts although they do tell you that on subsequent nights they are not allowed.
