Irish Passport

Going on Red Sea Magic trip on 11th March. Do we need a visa for visiting Petra? If yes, are we better getting it from the Egyptian Embassy in Ireland before we go or can we get a 'day one' on board the ship. Thanks for all your help - especially 'Jenny Wrenn'

"British and Irish passport holders on a cruise holiday are not rquired to obtain individual visas with the exception of the destinations featured below"

"Egypt

Visas not required for British or Irish passport holders embarking in Sharm el Sheikh. If you are extending your holiday in Sharm el Sheikh a visa is only required if you travel outside the Sinai desert......please note, if your passport features an Isreali stamp you may be refused entry to some countries in which case you will be required to remain onboard ship....."
