Stingray City vs. Stingray City & Island Tour

Is it worth the extra time to do the island tour? Heard Hell isn't much and kids are a little old for the turtle farm, how's the scenery, what else is on the tour? We'll be in port from 7:00 am-4:00pm. Not taking a ship tour so I don't know what time we'll get off the ship. How's the shopping? Hubby wants to go the Hard Rock, he collects the T-shirts everytime we go somewhere.

Did the tour back in 2001...crowded bus :( and you couldn't see much, the turtle farm was closed due to a hurricane that had gone thru that was disappointing. When we went back in 2003, we just did the Stingrays and it was more enjoyable..but if you have not been to Hell or seen the Conkshell house then you might want to consider the tour portion too The Stingrays are Great!

Have a good time:D
