passport or passport card for bahamas?

What do you think is better if we are sailing in April 2011, the passport card or a passport?

 

We were going to do the card, but I have heard that the law may change.

What do you regular cruisers think?

The law is not changing for the Bahamas cruises any time in the foreseeable future.

 

That said, the passport book is a far better investment than the passport card. The card does not get you any better/faster/easier processing than using a certified BC and ID will get you. You cannot fly home in an emergency with it. If you are going to purchase anything, get the passport book.

The passport card only expedites crossing at land borders. It's useless for flying. Get the full passport.
