orquidia Posted January 11, 2010 #5 Share Posted January 11, 2010 The Fiestas de la Calle San Sebastián is an excellent week of festivities (day and night) in the historic district, a way to explore more in depth the culture of Puerto Rico. The festivities are done in the name of San Sebastián (a saint)

cruisegirl29 Posted January 11, 2010 #8 Share Posted January 11, 2010 orquidia- Thank you so much for translating this calendar of events!! I really appreciate it! Can't wait till I can plant my feet on the ground in San Juan!! Also, we arrive late on Saturday evening. I'm sure that everyone is still out partying till the wee hours of the morning? If we take a taxi into OSJ, will there still be people partying in the streets & bars? Just wondering if we should head that way or just rest up for Sunday??? Thanks again! Sue yes, people usually stay up very late on saturday but this year i think they will limit the alcohol sale until 2am, that will not keep people from the streets. in the late morning hours most people attend to buy art and crafts, the party and music starts mid afternoon on sunday until morning hours.
