What time to board?

First-time cruiser here. From reading the boards, it appears that the boarding process for Azamara is a lot quicker than other companies. If our ship embarks at 6 p.m., what time should we board? We leave from Athens. We've never been there before, so we wanted to spend the morning (9 a.m. - noon) sightseeing. If we do this, will it give us enough time to get to the port and board?

You will have more than enough time. If you take a taxi it will be about half an hour. The boarding took us about ten minutes, maybe less.

Allow an hour for the taxi to be safe and enjoy a bit more time in Athens.

Perhaps you could leave Athens at three and board at four. That would give you a bit of time before mustering.
