Smithinc49 Posted January 14, 2010 Author #5 Share Posted January 14, 2010 I see you were on the Jewel which is the ship in question. Could you provide any additional detail about this ship's casino in particular. I play Blackjack and Poker. The wife likes craps.
Jeffffffs Posted January 14, 2010 #6 Share Posted January 14, 2010 On the Pearl in December thay had craps (3/4/5 x odds, $10 min); live poker (1-2 NL, 10% rake, $25 max) and several poker tournaments ($60 and $100, with rebuys, house kept (i believe) 25%) and Blackjack. Lower denomination BJ had shufflemaster machines, $25 and up had shoes, I think there was also a $25 single deck game. The rake on poker made it unplayable (to me), but there was a game going almost every night. Good craps action every night (usually after the late show ended, sometimes earlier). Richie2pies Posted January 15, 2010 #7 Share Posted January 15, 2010 They only pay 6/5 for Blackjack on $5 tables. A real rip-off.
nasa-rm Posted January 18, 2010 #8 Share Posted January 18, 2010 6/5 seems to work on BJ for us. My wife made back all the $$ on BJ that I lost playing craps.
martinchem Posted January 18, 2010 #9 Share Posted January 18, 2010 I wish they had an area smoke free, but sometimes it's hard just walking by the casinos.
nasa-rm Posted January 18, 2010 #10 Share Posted January 18, 2010 I wish they had an area smoke free, but sometimes it's hard just walking by the casinos. Oh yeah - good call. I don't mind the smoke at the time, but we had clothes that were kind of specific to the casino so only 1 set would be "smoky".
