bluedevil72 Posted January 16, 2005 #1 Share Posted January 16, 2005 We are going to rent a car and take the trip up to Emerald Lake in June. I know I have seen this same question on one of the threads before, but I can't find it and I sure don't want to mess up. Is a birth certificate and photo ID good for the trip into Canada and back. We do not have passports.
Yukon Posted January 16, 2005 #2 Share Posted January 16, 2005 Yes, it is - either the original or a notarized copy of your birth certificate plus photo ID.
billybob123 Posted January 16, 2005 #3 Share Posted January 16, 2005 The birth certificate and driver's license (or other gov't issued photo ID) are all you need, ***as long as you are a citizen of Canada or the US***. Anyone else will need a passport, if only to reenter the U.S. - though it will probably be needed both ways.
