Actually if you can get a group together from your roll call, you can hire a van of for 8 very reasonably. Two summers ago that it came to 8 or 9 Euros a person.

 

I usually take cost over convenience also. However, the People Mover is 1 Euro and the bus 6 Euros so the private transportation was one or two Euros more and well worth it.
