Alegeeter Posted January 17, 2010 #1 Share Posted January 17, 2010 I just got off the Freedom today and am in some withdrawal, but that's not unusual. I had a great cruise as always but one thing stuck out above all: the casino staff. I have been on several cruises and have played in many casinos but this casino staff is in a different league. Every dealer and pit boss was personable, fun and just made things easy (whether you won or lost). Whoever is in charge of the staff on the Freedom has done one helluva good job keeping up the positive morale. I just felt like I had to tell someone about the great people in the Babylon Casino. If you are on the Freedom soon, please spend some time there and enjoy yourselves. Most of the staff has only been on the ship for one month (starting right after drydock) so you guys have 5 months to meet this incredible group of people. I totally agree -- the casino manager and staff on Freedom is fantastic! We were on the Jan.2 cruise and the casino management was constantly in evidence. It was truly a fun experence -- win or lose. ncjeff Posted January 17, 2010 #4 Share Posted January 17, 2010 Yes, we have had some GREAT times on our cruises Question? any names come to mind? We had one of the best times on the Elation, before she moved. Was Dana (tall brunette girl) still a host?
Ruggled Posted January 17, 2010 #5 Share Posted January 17, 2010 The only staff that compares is the one on the Miracle. Special props to Phillip, Ali, John and Maria. The managers were awesome as well. It was a pleasure to lose my money Christmas week.
Alegeeter Posted January 17, 2010 Author #6 Share Posted January 17, 2010 There were 2 Marias, but the one from the Philippines was a pleasure to play with. Philip and John were great too as were Jelena, Kumbulani, William, Ekaterina, and Ognjnen. The ship didn't have any of those miserable dealers as some do. F22Smitty Posted January 17, 2010 #7 Share Posted January 17, 2010 We had a blast on the Freedom in October. The casino host was Carlos from Peru and treated us great. Richard, Phillp, and Alex at the craps table were great. We will be back on the Freedom in March and I hope they have returned.
ooulio Posted January 17, 2010 #8 Share Posted January 17, 2010 We had Dana on the Freedom. She was the best Casino Host we have ever had. She went out of her way . She was the best. We did the Carnival freedom twice. We did it 2008 and Feb 2009. I think it was Feb 2008 but am not sure. If I remember correct, we had a guy last year. He was nothing like her. Took my free drink coupons and never came back with my drinks. It was a big disappointment after having her the year before. Out of all the cruises we have ever been on, she was #1. LindaJSteele Posted May 10, 2010 #11 Share Posted May 10, 2010 I know this thread is a few months old, but we are going on the Freedom in the beginning of July, and I have a strange casino question. Does anyone know what kind of penny slots they have? I like the animated ones, and they didn't have too many of those on the Dream. Lots of penny slots, just not too many animated ones. I told you it was a strange question!

Does anyone know what kind of penny slots they have? I like the animated ones, and they didn't have too many of those on the Dream. Lots of penny slots, just not too many animated ones. I told you it was a strange question! ...We were recently on the Freedom and did notice a lot of animated penny slots. Not sure which ones were there, but I'm sure you'll be able to find one to your liking. ...As far as the staff goes, I spent most of my time at the PokerPro poker table, but what little time I spent at the Craps table, the staff was extremely pleasant and professional. As with any other cruise, for the first couple of days/nights, there are a lot of beginners trying their luck, and the staff was extremely patient. All told, the Freedom casino staff, from the dealers to the suits, were a great group to sail with!
LindaJSteele Posted May 11, 2010 #13 Share Posted May 11, 2010 Thanks for the info. I am really glad to hear that about the staff because we have noticed a trend since they started using the shuffling machines at the blackjack table - really unfriendly dealers. It's almost like they are robots now. On our cruise last month on the Dream, however, we noticed quite the opposite. Dealers were very friendly and fun. It was enjoyable to be playing - even if I was losing!
