Tim-n-Rick Posted September 14, 2010 Author #126 Share Posted September 14, 2010 We received the email too and printed our documents. We are working on costumes etc... We booked our parking in one of the off site locations and it's saving us about $100. So very excited to see everyone soon. 1 month 1 week and 1 day! Tim-n-Rick Posted September 14, 2010 Author #128 Share Posted September 14, 2010 Ok, our friends who were going to let us park our car at their house in Miami are going out of town :-( so does anyone have any good options for parking while on the cruise? Hey Chad, We booked with United Airport Parking which is an off site lot. You have to be sure to book at the Premier Cruise Parking Secure Garage to get the free shuttle to the port. You can click here to go to their site. If you have any questions let me know. I did some hard looking before I decided on them.

Darrell6t Posted September 22, 2010 #130 Share Posted September 22, 2010 I am not fond of costume parties, but I will try to get something together for Halloween. Searched my closet and found something to start with. Now I will need some accessories. And a mask. Part of it is being intimidated by the kinds of fantastic ensembles I have seen on other cruises. And I really don't want more than one piece of luggage, so anything has to be light and small.

Now I think we'll have a suitcase for just costumes.
Darrell6t Posted September 23, 2010 #132 Share Posted September 23, 2010 Darrell, I started out thinking we wouldn't have a costume for every party but that quickly changed. Now I think we'll have a suitcase for just costumes. Too much for me. Maybe a rainbow t-shirt for the one party and some simple costume for the Halloween party. The rest will have to do with regular cruise attire. And definitely no toga. On RSVP and Atlantis, some people have an extra cabin just for costumes. Though I don't know that any couple has gone that far. Usually it is a group of friends doing some crazy themed things. They can get very creative. Lots of fun to see. kcrandy Posted September 30, 2010 #133 Share Posted September 30, 2010 Dustin & I will be going to the El Limon Waterfall on Sunday Oct 24. I am wondering if anyone else would like to join us. We are going through Razor Tours. Please email me at happyrock8@hotmail.com if the following sounds interesting to you. I have a reservation for a brand new air conditioned van. I will let them know all the names on our tour. I have let them know we will be there from 11 - 5. If you are looking at the website, I have made a few changes and he agreed to add the following items. Seems very accomodating. From the Samana Port we'll board an air conditioned van for a 40 minute ride to Rancho Tipico in El Limon where we'll get a 15 minutes safety briefing. We'll then mount the horses and go cross country over hills and crossing rivers for 35 minutes until we get to the seam of the mountain where we'll park the horses and continue on foot for 15 minutes. At last the majestic Cascada El Limon. One of the most beautiful sights you´ll see in the Samaná area. The“Cascada El Limon” is a spectacular waterfall measuring 45 meters high, with a beautiful natural pool underneath, extremely calm and largely undisturbed by man. This tour last for 4 hours. Tour Price: Adults $55.00 USD P/P Recommendations: Wear long pants and closed shoes, a hat and sun glasses, and of course bring your bathing suit and a towel. I have made sure we will have time to swim at the waterfall.I have arranged for Lunch at the ranch which includes rice, chicken, salad, spaghetti, fruits, coffee. He agreed we can stop for scenic pictures. He agreed we can stop at cigar place. He agreed we can stop at the Farmer's Market. All for $55. He suggested we tip the horse guide $5-$10 each. Please let me know if you are interested. Right now I have 5 openings. Randy

Tim-n-Rick Posted October 5, 2010 Author #139 Share Posted October 5, 2010 Why do I get the feeling we're doomed at the costume contest? I've been telling Ricky that I bet everyone will go all out!
Vtboys Posted October 5, 2010 #140 Share Posted October 5, 2010 Ours are typically pretty competition worthy in our small city of Burlington Vt...won a few contests here...HOWEVER...we now know our place. It is a spectacle...a big, bedazzled, sequinned and feathered spectacle, and we love it! The best thing you can wear is a good attitude and readiness to have a freakin' blast!...ok, I gotta go back to work now...ugh, blech blech! Tim-n-Rick Posted October 7, 2010 Author #143 Share Posted October 7, 2010 I am considering the Mount Gay Rum Tour for us (no, not just for the name!). I think it would be fun and we've never taken any of the plantation or rum tours in the past. I'm a geek for this kind of stuff so someone please tell me if it's a big snooze. Darrell6t Posted October 11, 2010 #146 Share Posted October 11, 2010 Isn't that a schedule for the afternoon and evening of our embarcation day? With all that in the very first hours of the cruise, it is going to be a very busy 9 days. I wonder how many people are going with Aquafest. Darrell6t Posted October 12, 2010 #148 Share Posted October 12, 2010 That will be about 10% of the passengers then. We have never done a gay group cruise with such a large group. A new dynamic for us. There is going to be a lot of choices of activities and we won't be able to do them all.

A new dynamic for us. There is going to be a lot of choices of activities and we won't be able to do them all. I'm beginning to think the same thing Darrell. We'll try to hit most of the gatherings but with parties starting at 11 pm and shore excursions starting at 8:45 am we'll have to get some sleep in there somewhere. I am glad they have so many options though. It will make for very fun choices.
Darrell6t Posted October 13, 2010 #150 Share Posted October 13, 2010 We are not late-night partiers either. Maybe a quick look at the outfits and a night cap before midnight. But no dancing until dawn. Early morning excursions are not on our schedule either.
