We are looking at Cruises to do as a family there may be 10 to 12 of us I saw on here somewhere that when a certain number of people are booked you get a free cabin, we looked at Disney it seems high thinking about Carnivale because of ports and cost and being kid friendly...I need help..thank you ..

We did a big friends & family cruise this past November on Carnival. It was wonderful. We had people from age 2-86, from all over the country and Europe. The biggest thing is to go with the understanding that no one is obligated to be with the group 24/7 and you will have a great time.

For Carnival, you get a free berth for every 8 cabins in your group. Meaning you still have to pay taxes and port fees. And the berth amount is based on whatever cabin category you have the most of in your group (for example, if you yourself are in a balcony cabin, but most others are in insides, then you'd get a free INSIDE berth, not balcony just because you chose balcony).
