Ashland Posted January 20, 2010 #1 Share Posted January 20, 2010 If RCCL decides to not port in Labadee during this disaster...Then what would be an alternate port and for how long ?
The Big Booper Posted January 20, 2010 #2 Share Posted January 20, 2010 If RCCL decides to not port in Labadee during this disaster...Then what would be an alternate port and for how long ? Day at sea - and that would generate far more revenue, but none would go to Haiti, no port taxes and no revenue at Labadee to be donated back to Haiti. And nobody working at Labadee and no sales of merchandise at Labadee. And no food supplies being dropped off. The main stream media, as usual, has the story all wrong. ribarfly Posted January 20, 2010 #3 Share Posted January 20, 2010 Most likely it would be a sea day, in the past when the weather would not allow tendering we had a sea day. Ron :)

insulationbabe Posted January 20, 2010 #8 Share Posted January 20, 2010 In our St. Pete Times in Florida today it states that the Independence did dock at Labadee last Friday and the Navigator will and dropped mega food off to the Haitians. They say the port is heavily guarded but the area for the cruisers is still find and operating as usual:)
