Question about onboard tux rental......

How much does it cost to rent a tux from the ship for the formal night? I was wondering because another bag on the plane cost 25 each way was wondering if it would be worth it just to rent one on the ship.

I beleive on carnivals site it says 110 bucks to rent one.

For a basic black tux w/ 2 shirts, stud and cuff link set it is 87.00 + tax. I preorder my DH one every cruise. You have to pick it up in the Formalities shop. Very convenient! And if there is a problem w/ sizing they can refit you. This happened one time and was corrected quickly.

just remember that they only keep tuxedos that can be fitted on "average" sized men. i am 6'5 and 300 lbs. Not fat, just real big. I was advised to bring one on board since they would not be able to accomodate me.

it is realy easy on the ship. you just get fitted at a normal tux shop at home and send off the form to carnival. the tux will be ready when the formalitys shop opens on the day of the cruise. It is a nice thing to not have to worry about bringing with you

You really don't need a tux... Why not just bring a Suit? You can use the slacks more than once for other nights...

I'm the same size and had no trouble renting tuxes from Carnival or Royal Car.

 

You do have to order ahead of the time at our size, however.

 

Much easier than bringing one and the shoes as well. Hint: they don't provide socks. So, bring some.

 

They will provide two tux shirts so you can have a fresh shirt the 2nd night.

WOW, I think I paid like $ 140.00 when I BOUGHT mine from K&G Menswear. Have now used it on 3 cruises. Have had to pay a little more now & then to get it resized, but still a GREAT DEAL it appears

That's a lot of $$ to spend to look like a penguin for several hours. This isn't Holland America, no need for that. :D
