2 beaches/1day

Is it feasible to go to Baie Rouge in the morning and Orient Beach in the afternoon? Whaddya think? How long of a taxi ride is it to Baie Rouge,(we are on Caribbean Princess 2/12)? How much is the cab ride for 4 people? Thanks.

It's POSSIBLE, but that's probably the longest possible distance between two beaches and the pier. See the map. If you do this, make arrangements with the taxi that takes you to Baie Rouge to pick you up, as you're not very likely to see many empty cabs going by. I have no guess at the taxi fare, but it would be more than any of the standard fares.

 

 

If you want to hit two beaches, how about Dawn and Orient?

Rent a car and try to see Maho beach and the planes, Marigot for some non beach type situations and the orient . Not necessaryly in that order and would welcome your or anyones thoughts on this. Good or bad I like opinions!

Thank you for the info on the distance between those two beaches and the limited availability of cabs. That is the information we were seeking,(but not necessarily hoping to hear). we will check into Dawn.

I think that SHOULD be the order if those are your target destinations. There aren't many large planes landing in the morning, but even the smaller ones are interesting.

 

I can't tell what you're really looking for -- sightseeing, shopping, beach or ???

 

Philipsburg has GREAT shopping.
