I was wondering about NCL's Jewel, is the pool saltwater or freshwater? What about the waterslide? After cruising on RCCL's Liberty, I really liked the fresh water pools. Hoping this ship has the same.

Thanks!!!

Hi, I was on the 1-10-2010 sailing. Both pools are saltwater, including the water slide. At first it bothered me but half through the cruise I didn't even notice anymore. Hope you have a great trip!! Dave

Just off the Pearl and usually the salt water pools bother me but this one did not. Maybe NCL ships do a better job at filtering and treating the saltwater then Carnvial does. Just don't drink the water.

You can shower off with fresh water before and after getting in the pool with those pool side showers.
