krijkee Posted January 24, 2010 #1 Share Posted January 24, 2010 Considering going with a 15 month old and 3yo. Worried about the swim onto the beach... 3yo is very confident in water and 15 month old loves water too...There will be 4 adults to help with the kids. Do you think we could put them in floating devices and swim them in? Husband is 6'3 also, and all adults are very confident swimmers. Think this is doable? I don't want to endanger my children, I just have no idea what that swim is like and how far. Any insight would be great!
Pyrate13 Posted January 24, 2010 #2 Share Posted January 24, 2010 If you take the ferry there is no swimming involved. If you go by charter then the swimming distance would depend on the boat. Usually it's not very far at all. I would think the little one's would be fine with "floating devices".
mel77gap Posted January 28, 2010 #3 Share Posted January 28, 2010 I emailed a private company about your same question- can I bring a infant and he said he had a dingy that he could take the baby and I up to the shore. Hope this helps.

Hope this helps. Thank you! Do you mind sharing which private company it was with? We are only in Tortola from 7-1, so I was probably going with the ship's tour and not the ferry, just in case. Beachbum1944 Posted January 29, 2010 #5 Share Posted January 29, 2010 Hey krijkee, on NCL excursions, they say they have a kayak to bring personal belongings ashore. I would believe that they could also bring you and your baby ashore too.
