Quick note if you're sailing from Tampa this Saturday

on the Inspiration - leave yourself PLENTY of transport time to get to the port. Saturday is our annual Gasparilla Pirate party/parade, so the area will be extremely crowded & busy (crowd estimates are typically in the 400,000 to 500,000 range).

The parade & most of the festivities are on the opposite side of downtown from the cruise terminal, but the entire area will be busy & traffic tieups are a very distinct possibility.

Consider yeself warned, matey. Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Thanks for the warning.

We're sailing out this Sunday 1/31 from Tampa, do you think we'll be affected?

Shouldn't be any traffic/crowd affect; by Sunday morning they'll have cleaned up most of the mess & the drunks will be either in bed or in the drunk tank. :D

If you are staying in a hotel in the downtown area, it might be a bit rowdy for awhile - but even then, it will die out early as the hard partiers start early in the morning & drop out early in the evening.

Thank you for following up and replying :)

We probably won't check in to the hotel until Sunday 1/31 around 6:00 PM-ish, so I think (hope?) we'll be safe.

Thanks again.
