jcruise67 Posted January 20, 2005 #2 Share Posted January 20, 2005 Oceanbound05, What cruise line and ship are u sailing? Since its only a 4 day, a tux and evening gown for the one formal night isn't that necessary. Let me know if you have a balcony stateroon too. We use bungie cords to hold the balcony door open. Its nice to have a nice caribbean breeze coming throufgh the room. On any cruise, I pack zip lock baggies (1 Gal.) to plcae bottles of liquor in them. It protects against breakage, unless you have plastic liquor bottles. The best thing to pack is airport bottles of liquor in your luggage. If your with a group pack a pin up board on the outside of your room. This way, people in your group can sign it or know where you headed to on the ship if they can't phone you. Two-way radios are great also.(Self-explanitory) Here some other packing options for you: 1. Medication - (Motion sickness, Prescriptions, etc) 2. An extra carry-on or suit case for souvenirs 3. collapsable coolers are great by the pool (If you have beers in your stateroom) 4. Money to gamble in Atlantis Casino, Paradise Island (If your going to Nassau) These are just a few things. If you have any other questions or concerns, let me know. oceanbound05 Posted January 20, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted January 20, 2005 Thanks John! So we can pack alcohol in our luggage for on the cruise? I keep reading this may or may not be taboo...
jcruise67 Posted January 20, 2005 #4 Share Posted January 20, 2005 Obviously, You don't want to make it obvious, but if your discreet about it, and pack the right kind of liquor, you can definitely get it on board. I've never had a problem. If your aprehensive about boarding with it or packing it in your checked luggage, then you could always contact gift services through your cruise line and pre-order it for your cabin prior to your arrival. fuzzywuzzy Posted February 20, 2005 #8 Share Posted February 20, 2005 Don't forget insulated drink containers. They are great for bringing back juices to your cabin, or mixing your own drinks in the cabin and taking out on deck, etc. It keeps your drinks colder longer as well.
