w8ing2cruz Posted January 27, 2010 #1 Share Posted January 27, 2010 Does anyone know if they are metal? I usually have door decorations that are magnetic and easily attached to the door rather than tape or tacky material.

I would like to put birthday decorations on my dd's door.
Koval Posted January 27, 2010 #3 Share Posted January 27, 2010 I believe they are Metal I think it was a question on the Blog thingy too, with John Heald We are sailing the Dream next month, and I have the 8X10 Magnetic sheets packed and ready for the door :o) I think all 65 of our Groups Cabins will have one... and I don't think we would have gone forward with making them if we didn't make sure about the doors first. I could be wrong LOL But I am not. Some of those on this coming cruise did the C2N, we had them measuring doors, checking for places for the Sail away party. You are going to be fine with you magnet door signs
GlendaleCruiser Posted January 27, 2010 #4 Share Posted January 27, 2010 Does anyone know if they are metal? I usually have door decorations that are magnetic and easily attached to the door rather than tape or tacky material. The doors are NOT metal. I have a magnetic CC sign and I ended up suspending over the door with a ribbon hanger that attached to the inside of the door at the top. I was very disappointed. On a weird note, the inside wall by the vanity was metal and I was able to hang some magnetic clips to it. Go figure.
*Mach* Posted January 27, 2010 #5 Share Posted January 27, 2010 The doors have a steel core but the exterior is not metal... or at least not ferrous metal, perhaps aluminum. Magnets won't work to hold more than a sheet of paper. I'd suggest that double sided foam sticky tape... works great for me... :)
