Visiting the island before wedding

Besides being on a cruise and going to certain ports. Has anyone gone before the wedding to view the wedding site, meet the vendors etc....

Nope cant say we have. We are getting married in St Thomas in March 2011. This will be my 3rd time there and her 2nd time there. (via cruiseship) We just look at reviews of vendors and go by word of mouth/recommendations etc...... Good Luck!
