Malibu Rum Factory Tour

We went there last week, but didn't do the tour. We have seen rum factories before and they wanted $30 per couple to do the tour, sit on the beach and have a drink. And they were pretty nasty about it. We weren't even allowed to walk thru the property to the beach to walk back to the ship. We went down the beach to Mt Gay and bought our local rum, no tour. But, at Mt Gay they were only charging $7pp for the tour - no chair or drink.

I think most people just wanted the drink and the beach chairs for the day. We weren't willing to spend that to sit on "their" beach. Also, the gift shop was bare. I'm not sure if we got there after the ship's tours, but there wasn't anything to buy.

Even $7 is too much but Mount gay extra old and their sugar cane brandy are as good as rum gets.
