balcony privacy

my wife and I are sailing on the radiance on 4-3-05 we have a balcony room for the first time (this is our 4th cruise).We are just curious as to how private the balconies are. Any info on this?

We had complete privacy on our corner aft balcony on the Voyager. ;)

That depends on the cabin. Some have more privacy than others.

We just got off the Radiance yesterday.We had cabin 9580 second in on the hump.We had complete privacy but if we leaned out we could see some of the balconies to the left.

I heard that on the aft of the Voyager class you can see down into the lower level balconies. I am on deck 10 so the Island Grill is above me. I dont think they can see down to my balcony but you never know.

Where exactly is your cabin? It really does depend on the location! I can say...that the only balcony cabin we've had privacy issues with is the mini-suite we had on the Grand Princess. Our balcony was totally exposed to the cabins above us...we didn't enjoy it needless to say as much as we have on other ships. We just had a balcony cabin on the AOS last September right at the beginning of the hump. We could see a little of the cabin to our right, but had no problems with anyone seeing into ours.

We had our first balcony last month on the Rhapsody. We only had neighbors to the left of us. Almost EVERY time we came out on our's, the man next door would come out and stick his WHOLE HEAD around the divider and say "Hey you guys! Whatcha doin?" It got old after the second day. He was nice but would not leave us alone! There were several times when we just had to excuse ourselves and go in to get some peace and quiet! Too bad you can't pick your neighbors!

I think I would have said, "We are trying to enjoy some privacy. That is why we purchased a balcony cabin. If we had wanted to visit every Tom Dick and Harry on board we would be setting by the Pool"

Just got off the Radiance on 1/16. We had balcony room 8560. This balcony was not very private. There is no wall in between balconies it is a piece of glass that is a little see through.

Just remember (it seems some passengers don't realize it) that your neighbours can hear your conversations!!
