holmes96 Posted February 1, 2010 #1 Share Posted February 1, 2010 We originally booked a CC cabin, choose Select Dining, and prepaid our gratuities. I like to prepay as much as possible, i.e gratuities, specialty restaurants, bev packages, etc. so I don't have a huge onboard tab. We just recently upgraded to Aqua Class, cabin 1641. :) Does anyone have experience eating in the MDR via Select Dining and then eating in Blu some nights? My husband and I would like to try both and I'm hoping that we won't have to choose one or the other. Any tips? Also, for the non-formal nights, for dinner, are capris for women OK or are long pants truly recommended? Thanks for the feedback. I can't wait for our cruise on 3/21/10! Gonzo70 Posted February 1, 2010 #2 Share Posted February 1, 2010 Since you are now in Aqua Class, you will be assigned to Blu for dinner (you can also eat there for breakfast if you like). If you want to try out the Main Dining Room some nights, you just need to check in with the Maitre'D' there on those nights and they should be able to accommodate you. I found Blu to be a nice step up from my prior main dining room experiences, so you may end up just wanting to stick with Blu. Capris are fine on non-formal night. Enjoy the cruise. We really loved sailing on a Solstice class ship and greatly enjoyed Aqua Class. :)
Phxazzcruisers Posted February 1, 2010 #3 Share Posted February 1, 2010 You will be able to eat in Blu any night you wish. If you want to go to the MDR, just talk to the MatreD, it will not be a problem. I think you will really like Blu, and wind up dining there
