Asil65 Posted February 2, 2010 #1 Share Posted February 2, 2010 Thinking about booking an all day sail in St. thomas-St. John in June. Worried that we won't get back to the ship on time. Any suggestions?
sadajo Posted February 3, 2010 #2 Share Posted February 3, 2010 We are on the Disney Magic in March and our time in St. Thomas is only from 7:45 am -3:45 pm. We contacted Kathleen at Highpockets and she was more than willing to adjust the sail times to accomodate us (8:30 - 2:30). We'll probably have a somewhat shorter trip than most but that's ok; I've heard so many great things about Kathleen that we really wanted to do this sail! (I haven't heard of her letting anyone miss the ship yet so I'm just going to trust her to get us back on time.) If you want to do it, it won't hurt to ask. Lsimon Posted February 3, 2010 #3 Share Posted February 3, 2010 Talk to the day sail operators via phone and ask. Many cater to cruisers and they'll let you know if they can accomodate your schedule.
Asil65 Posted February 3, 2010 Author #4 Share Posted February 3, 2010 Thanks Larry and Sadajo, We definitely want to do the day sail and because we can book the whole sailboat we will have flexibility. Not sure why the ships are in such a hurry to get out of St. Thomas. One of my favorite stops. Now to decide who to use. Sounds like there are a bunch of great Captains.
