First of all you are more or less on the wrong section of the Europe board. More information is to be found on the Western Europe section.

For organised tours check this link:

For do it yourself (since public transport in and outside the city is excellent.)

Hello, I will be spending 4 days in Amsterdam and would like to do some tours, does anyone have some suggestions as to what tour companies to use?

Thanks!

Definitely do NOT use Wynand von Diggelin who called his "company" Senior Holland Travel in 2008. He has since changed the name of his "company". It is just him and sometimes his son. We booked him in 2008 for an all day tour and it was not a good experience. I posted about this on this forum and a few cruisers contacted me and asked about him, and I responded. I guess they chose to use him anyway. A few months later, I received emails telling me that I was correct. One of them had a terrible experience when their teen daughter needed a restroom and he refused to stop. He called him a "nut." On our tour, he was over an hour late, took us to places we did not want to go and insisted we needed to see things we did not care for (with an extra admission fee) and then when he dropped us off, he demanded money above what we had prepaid him. This was a tour outside of the city. Buyer beware.

Thank you for the advice, I will definitely steer clear of him! that's what I love about CC and the boards, you get such wonderful information.
