Warm enough for swimming, late April ?

We're taking the april 25 cruise from Barcelona to Venice on Journey, and wondered if the pool will be warm enough for swimming?

I've only been on the Quest but I assum they are the same. The pool is not heated and there is no dome cover. We took Oct/Nov Med cruise in 2008 and water was freezing in pool.

We took the Best of Italy cruise on the Quest in late April,early May in 2008. Weather was beautiful and the pool was fine.

I guess it depends upon the weather and where the ship has been. Quest this past November had really warm water in the pool.

I was on the Quest on Mediterranean cruise Oct/Nov 2009 and the pool WAS heated... so much so that it was hotter than the hot tub! It was great!!

I was curious to see the replies...I am with the sailing with Hflipper in May. It is my experience having sailed on the Med in May and in Sept...that it is much warmer in Sept/Oct. than it is in May. The weather is unpredictable in May...I would not expect there to be alot of pool time...but the sun will be warm and if it is out for a few days it should warm the pool up. I have froze on Mykonos and fried on Santorini in the same trip so that is spring in the Med.

 

But, it looks like it may be an early spring in Europe...atleast in France and probably Spain...birds are chirping and temperatures are turning mild for light jackets...I am keeping my fingers crossed. :D
