Family Excursions or Beaches???

We will be cruising in April and wondered if anyone had any recommendations for excursions or beaches to visit with fairly young children? Looking for something family friendly with 3 children ages 6,7 & 8. Thanks for any advice!!

i would stay away from orient beach with kids that age. theres a beach in town you can walk to or do an excursion.

We're going to the DIVI resort beach. It's about a 4/5 mile cab ride from the cruise docks (so I've read, anyways). I've read that it's very family oriented and is NOT a "clothes optional" beach. We booked through our cruise ship. It's a private beach but I've been told you can use their beach even if you're not a guest of the resort.
