Smoker Friendly Hotels in Vancouver

Can't find anything posted since Feb. '09. Looking for a hotel in Vancouver that allows smoking in the room. Hotels.com has some listed as "smoking permitted", but, when I go to another site it says that they're smoke free. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Being a reformed smoker ... this is a good question. I am sure that you have found that Marriott and Weston are smokefree. If I recall correctly, when I checked last year the Fairmonts still had smoking floors but after that I would be checking with some of the Days and Ramada type properties or planning to smoke out on the street.

I think all hotels in BC had to go smoke free by law. Having said that, as a smoker, I ALWAYS stay at the Century Plaza downtown. All of the rooms are 1 or 2 bdrm suites, full kitchen, living room and have decent sized balconies you can go out to smoke on. The rates are very reasonable (I use expedia) and it's an easy walk to Robson St and lots of other cool places.
