Vancouver Airport walking distance

Recommended Posts

I'll be flying in from California on Alaska Airlines. Can anyone tell me how far I may have to walk from the gate to immigration and then to baggage claim? First time in Vancouver. Are there little shuttles, like they have in Montreal, that go between the gate and immigration? I know the walk there is quite long. If it's any longer in Vancouver I may need to get assistance, though I really don't want to unless I have to. Thanks for any info.

If in doubt, I suggest you ask for assistance. Depending on your gate it could be 4-500 yards.

we prearranged assitance with air canada for my in laws who are elderly..of course nobody showed up from the airline..lots of parked buggies but not staff..but that was Air Canada the worlds worst airline for customer service..but in both official languages

I am not sure that I share your view re Air Canada....I know we spend a lot of time knocking it but I must say that DW who is a person who is afflicted with MS and flies them at least several times a year has had nothing but great success with them on how they treat her, wheelchair assists and alike. At YVR they operate the golf carts and do a super job getting people who need an assist to and from gates.:)

Remember PD anything based in eastern Canada is useless to anyone who lives in Alberta - always has been always will be.

Another Canuck victory tonight and our high priced goalie actually one us a game.

Cheers

You are being mean tonight, it must have been all the sunshine you enjoyed to day. Rained here in the desert, cloudy all day, big thunder and lightning storm in the late afternoon, must have dropped an inch or so of rain. Nice Canuck win, saw part of it...was more exicited about my winning back what lost yesterday in the casino after our 99 cent ham & egg breakfast. Actually it was only $10 I lost yesterday and I got it back plus $3.29 (big gambler,eh, but a profit is a profit).

Yes I did get out on the bike and enjoyed a ride through some of the inside trails in Stanley Park and then after dinner at the White Spot took a walk up the Granville Entertainment strip - the street is starting to look good again - new lighting and a serious attempt by the City to get businesses back into having neon signs - the large one on the Vogue theater has been restored and is looking great - what that was different tonight along Granville that in addition to the usual pub crowds there were lots of families with their kids taking in the downtown scene and over at Robson Square it was packed with people - last night the entertainment was suppose to end at 8PM but the band played til 11PM - more than 600 people on the steps of the plaza wouldn't let the band stop playing.

Can only imagine how busy it will get over the next three weeks as the full impact of the Games starts to take hold.

Feel sorry for Alberta hockey fans - tough to have not one but two teams that are having trouble winning games.

Guess it is just about bed time

Who are you picking for tomorrow's game - I don't have a favorite but I guess since NOLA has never won a Super bowl I will have to go with them.

Cheers

Dennis
